Local residents refer to this place as the "Fountain", and numerous unique festival celebrations take place here every year. Since its opening, Senado Square has been the centre of Macau, with buildings on both sides dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These buildings exhibit a variety of colors and window styles. In 1993, the area was paved with black and white gravel arranged in a wavy pattern, which beautifully complements the vibrant cultural relics and buildings in the surrounding area, creating a strong sense of exoticism.
